We’ve been hearing about Real Housewives of New York star Sonja Morgan’s toaster oven for a season and half at least. First she was coming up with a toaster oven, then it was a toaster oven cookbook. But we’ve yet to see much movement of either.The cookbook and the toaster oven are both planned to be a part of the Sonja Home line of products.
First of all, shouldn’t you sell the toaster oven before you come up with a toaster oven cookbook? Isn’t the cookbook a compliment to the toaster oven. If they buy the book, wouldn’t you assume they already have a toaster oven? Or shouldn’t you at least release them in tandem. Or is it a package? Who knows. Other than Sonja. Because we’ve only heard about this mythical product and saw a “protype” on the show that honestly could have been any toaster oven. And to make matters worse their is hardly any trace of it on her website sonjamorganonline.com. But don’t fret toaster oven enthusiasts, both products are well in the works.
Here’s what Sonja revealed to Bravo:
“The thing is, the people who watch the show and want to buy the book, they want more than just recipes. So when I went to the publishers, they really liked it, but it was just recipes,” the New York Housewife says. “So I’m redoing it to have it be a little bit more about the up-dos, the smoky eye, where I picked up my recipes, my yoga, about my diet routine, and about how I stay fit and all that.”
Besides adding more Morgan to the book, Sonja’s also launching her own toaster oven as part of Sonja Home. Although that kitchen gem is taking a while to hit shelves “because it’s being made overseas,” rest assured it will come packaged with a booklet containing plenty of recipes. – Source: BravoTV.com
I’m not sure that I would buy it, but I want to see it before I get so old that I actually think that I really need such a product. I honestly don’t understand the need for a toaster oven. Perhaps I’m not the correct demographic. I have a toaster, an oven, and a microwave. Other than take up counter space, I’m not sure what a toaster oven does that those three things don’t. Either way, I can’t wait to see how this Housewive does with the product.

The fact that she’s more concerned with her picture and bio on the box than she is the actual product that goes inside the box is alarming. All she’s said is it’s coming, now she’s working on a recipe book. That toaster oven is going to be a prototype til next season.
