Question: I was watching a Dance Moms marathon and I noticed that Melissa from Dance Moms seemed to have a nasty attitude towards her ex-husband. Now she’s changed her last name and is trying to change her children’s last name too. What happened with Melissa and her ex-husband? Was she cheating?

Answer: According to Kurt Ziegler, Melissa’s ex-husband, Maddie and Mackenzie’s father, “dance got in the way of their family”. I took that to mean that Melissa was spending a lot of time in dance class with the kids instead of taking care of her husband.
