If you’ve watched TVOne’s R&B Divas, you’ve witness more shenanigans and uneven emotions from Nicci Gilbert-Daniels than you’ve probably ever witnessed in one reality TV show viewing. Nicci is practically unbearable and unnecessarily combative. If she were on Real Housewives of Atlanta or Basketball Wives, this behaviour would land her a heftly payday. However, the cast of R&B Divas don’t respond to that type of drama and “beef”. The R&B Divas drama surrounds 5 women and their music career and family balance, not petty arguing which is all Nicci seems to be good for. R&B Divas isn’t a drink throwing, argumentative, bitch slap kind of reality TV show (or at least not yet), so I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some truth to the rumors.
It was reported that the producers are looking to add legendary singer, Grammy Nominee, Kelly Price to the R&B Divas cast, quite possibly to replace Nicci.
TVOne released a statement to put the rumors to rest:
“As the most watched original premiere in TVOne’s history, the network is pleased with the cast and success of R&B Divas and has no plans to modify the show at this time. R&B Divas stars Faith Evans, Monifa, KeKe Wyatt, Faith Evans and Nicci Gilbert-Daniels. Nicci one of the co-executive producers of the show and is the former lead singer of the group R&B group Brownstone.

Something is wrong with Nicci. She is very holy-er than thou and its real old. If she was replaced I wouldn’t be surprised. There is enough material with Sylenna and Keke alone. Its a R&B singer graveyard here in Atlanta there is someone that is waiting for a chance. Maybe Karlie Redd *laughs uncontrollably*
I can’t help but wonder if Nicci is that simple or if she does it for the cameras. It is a reality TV show afterall. I find it hard to believe that someone thinks that they reserve the right to tell you what to do ALL THE TIME. Everytime she goes on one of her rants I feel like I’m listening to my mama, scratch that, she’s worse than my mama, my mama is passive aggressive. Nicci is all out aggressive.
Nicci is over the top and has a superior attitude. And it’s unfortunate that she no longer appreciates her gift (singing).
I honestly think that she’s being overly dramatic for no apparent reason. I think Nicci pretends to not want to sing, she’s probably working on a new album as we speak.
Now that I think about it I’ve seen her perform on the spot at ATL Live. She is a drama queen who needs to have SEVERAL seats.
