Chad Johnson Evelyn Lozada

Happier times for Ev & Ocho

of Basketball Wives and her husband have yet to speak, but VH1 and the Miami Dolphins have said enough to know that neither of their lives will ever be the same after this alleged head-butting incident. Hours after Chad Johnson was released from jail on August 12, 2012, he was released from the Miami Dolphins. Then today, August 13, 2012, VH1 announced that Ev & Ocho would not air. There is a price to pay when you’re dealing with domestic violence or alleged domestic violence and being in the public eye while it plays out won’t be an option for the publicity loving newlyweds.

Dolphin’s coach Joe Philbin addressed Chad’s release in a news conference earlier today:

“With any type of these decisions, it was not an easy one,” Philbin said. “It was not reactive nor was it based on one single incident.”

He said Johnson’s release was mostly about how the receiver didn’t “fit” with the Dolphins.

“Again, it was more a body of evidence from June 11th forward. When he came in on June 11th, we sat down and we talked and I was very clear as to the expectations of the program. It just didn’t work out,” he said. “It’s more about the fit; in my gut I didn’t think the fit was going to be beneficial to either party moving forward, whether in the short-term or the long-term. That’s really what it was all about. It wasn’t about one specific thing; it just wasn’t going to work.” – Source: ESPN

VH1 released the following statement:

“Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series ‘Ev and Ocho’ from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it.” – Source: VH1.com

Things get better, TMZ has audio. Apparently, Evelyn fled to the neighbor’s house to call 911 after the incident:

“The neighbor called 911 — telling the dispatcher, Chad “hit her on the head … She has a nice cut on the forehead that I believe is going to need stitches.”

But the neighbor wasn’t just worried about Evelyn’s cut, he was also freaking out about an inevitable media firestorm surrounding the domestic dispute … telling the dispatcher, Chad is a “very high-profile person and we’d like to keep this as quiet as possible.” – Source: TMZ.com

Things could get worse, someone could reveal that Evelyn and Chad only got together for publicity from the jump and really poke a hole in this bullsh!t called reality.

Don’t worry, I’ll keep you updated on new developments.
