The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons or Battle of the Ages?

Zach and Alton almost come to blows on The Challenge Battle of the Seasons“Has-been”. When I heard Zach call Alton, one one the greatest competitors to ever participate in the Challenge, a “has-been”, I was shocked and bothered with the direction that The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons was going. Talk about disrespect. And disrespect seems to be the theme throughout this season of the Challenge thus far. Every Challenge is full of alliances and every challenge is a battle for the upper hand between the newbies and the vets, but the vets have clearly lost all advantage and respect in Battle of the Seasons. Not only have they outplayed veteran teams but they’re causing them to weaken and give up. Their were only 2 1/2 veteran teams Team Austin, Team Fresh Meat, and Team Las Vegas (1/2 Real World Las Vegas and 1/2 Real World Back to Las Vegas) and Fresh Meat and Austin have both been completely eliminated before we even reach the half-way mark.

Alton The Challenge Battle of the SeasonsAlton is now the lone Challenge veteran and the rookies are out to break him mentally. The newbies have completely disregarded the fact that Alton was a part of the winning team “The Rookies” in Gauntlet 2, the man deserves a little respect. But challenge newbies Frank, CJ, and Zach are out for veteran blood and Alton is the only veteran left so they test his self control on every occasion. Alton actually wanted to throw the challenge and lose so he could go home. Talk about disappointing, if you’re going to go home on purpose at least punch the shit out of somebody and get sent him, don’t let some young wanna-be’s with no challenge credentials scare you away. I personally would love to see Alton give Frank a well deserved punch, the trip back home would be well worth it.

  1. I can’t believe Frank is the loudest most obnoxious competitor in the house. I actually miss Wes and Johnny Bananas. I feel bad for Alton, and can’t believe how easy it was for him to want to throw in the towel, but I agree the disrespect of the veterans is out of line. I’m going to miss the next episode of the ‘The Challenge’ because of my new work schedule at DISH. I’ve already set my Hopper to record it, and since there is so much DVR recording space I’m going to record the rest of the season. I thought the rookies would display a little bit of respect this season, but they have shown that is not possible.
