The Shannon-Thompson family salary is peanuts in the reality tv world. The family of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo now consisting of six makes a measly $2,000 to $4,000 per episode plus a small location fee (because the show films in their home). At the end of this season, they could rake in $40,000 for the season.
The family now wants a pig pay increase and is seeking $10,000 per episode for season 2. Industry insiders say this is highly unlikely and most likely will receive closer to $8,000 an episode
The show averages more than two million viewers per episode.
At this point, they better take the Jersey Shore approach and make it work for them. The $40,000 is better than anything they had before and at least they have wised up and is trying to max out their 15 minutes of fame.
